Wellington Court opened in 1985 as a cafe by Chef Erik’s mother Claudia and is located in her family home. Chef Erik took over the kitchen more than 24 years ago after studying at George Brown College. He began to focus the direction of the restaurant and food on the growth he was seeing in the wine industry and the Niagara Region. A passionate chef and wine lover, Erik began making connections and friends with many of the producers and winemakers that translated to the regional feel of the restaurant and its food. It is truly a labor of love for Erik and his wife Dale, who manages the front of the house at Wellington Court. Received Entrepreneur of the Year – Family Enterprise and Excellence in Business awards in 2014.
