Sports Tourism GrantIf your event is eligible, the City of St. Catharines offers a grant to help make it a success. If your event is in St. Catharines and over 40% of your registrants stay in our partner hotels and properties, then you are very likely eligible for some funding support. We have two grant streams – one for City owned sports facilities and the other for private or other facilities. Using information you provide once the event is completed, we prepare an economic impact assessment alongside the grant application. We can make the assessment available to you as a tool to help promote your next event to advertisers and sponsors. It’s a relatively simple two-step process: see us before your event so we can help plan and prepare your event. Then after the event, forward your completed application for us to process. Simple!
