Covid-19 has forced many local performing arts organization to try a new tack in order to present their material to the public. If you guessed “streaming” as the technique, you are correct.
Gallery Players has invited the public to join them next Thursday at 7 p.m. for their very first live streamed event, “Tangos and Treasures,” a co-production presented by the Gallery Players of Niagara and the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre.
Doug Miller (flute) and Tim Phelan (guitar) will perform “a sunny selection of music” from Brazil, and Argentina, alongside iconic movie themes and other gems. Tangos and Treasures will feature music by Piazzolla, Jobim, Machado, Morricone (recently deceased at age 91) and more. They claim that their music is “guaranteed to lift your spirits.”
There is no charge for this concert. On July 9th at 7 p.m. (EST) simply click on link below and you will be directed to the event. If you have any trouble with the link you can also go directly to the FirstOntario Performing Arts Centre website and find the concert streamed as part of #NiagaraPerforms.
